Student of the Month

Greg Davis has been dancing at Paper Moon for a little over a year. Most of our students know him as a young, friendly face from their group classes and Friday night socials. He is also a dedicated private student. He was a part of last March’s Salsa Formation Team, and is about to embark on the upcoming Cha Cha Formation! We also hope to convince him to compete at the Commonwealth Classic in November.

Greg works at BAE Systems as a software engineer. He moved to New England from St. Louis, Missouri, where most of his family still lives. Among his hobbies are reading, playing the harp, and studying karate; though “dancing is beginning to swallow some of [those other hobbies] whole.” Two of his favorite dances are West Coast Swing and Argentine Tango, and he thinks of them as “a kind of conversation between the dancers.” He practices not only at the studio, but at home, at work, and at the grocery store! He fondly blames us for that.

Greg is part of the good-looking crowd of young folks who have found a ‘home’ at Paper Moon. In his own words, “While I'm not about to catch up to Cathy anytime soon, I find I'm spending more and more time on that lately. It's addictive…I hope to be learning from you for a long time to come.” The feeling is mutual, Greg!
