Mark Tuson is one of the charter members of the Paper Moon family. He took his first dance class on our opening day in June 2003 and has been a regular ever since.

Since then, Mark has participated in our social dances, group classes, private lessons, and formation teams, as well as several competitions throughout New England. Mark is known to be a gentleman on the dance floor, with an intense desire to improve himself. A great role model for all men, Mark is fearless about inviting every available lady for at least one dance during a social.

We still smile at the memories of Mark taking the floor for a tango heat in his first competition ever – facing backwards! Mark’s quick thinking (along with a little nudge from his partner Holly Johnson) saved the day and he still managed to win first place!

Mark’s current goal is to compete in all four American Smooth dances next year.

“My new skills have been very useful at many social events, which is why I started taking lessons. I like the choices and flexibility available at the Paper Moon. The instructors have an encouraging, friendly, and fun style of teaching. The studio is a very comfortable environment for learning a very enjoyable social activity.”
