Join us this Saturday, Oct 25 for Country Western Night!  For the first time, we’ll be learning a dance that both Country Western and Ballroom have in common: the Cha Cha!  There will be a beginner group class from 7-8pm and a social dance from 8-11pm ($10 for the class, $10 for the dance, or $15 for both).  During the group class, we will learn the basic and three different variations (all three DIFFERENT steps from the ones we learned last Saturday)! 

 

A belated congratulations to the eight Paper Moon dancers who participated in the SuperShag Invitational Competition on Saturday, Oct 4!  They danced their hearts out and got positive feedback from dancers in Massachusetts, Connecticut, and Maine!  It was an exciting day filled with impressive dancing all-around.  Mark January 10, 2004 on your calendars as our next competitive event: the Seacoast Classic!  There will be events for all experience- and ability-levels, so whether you’ve just started or you’re a veteran, consider joining us!  Ask Maria for details.

Paper Moon will be holding a Vacation Dance Camp for kids ages 11-18.  It will take place on the 5 the weekdays between Friday, December 26 and Thursday, January 1, 11am-1pm.  Campers will dance for 45 minutes, eat lunch together, and then dance for another 45 minutes, with a mini-performance for parents and friends on Jan 1 at 12:45pm.  Cost is $150 per camper (includes lunch).  Registration deadline: Friday, December 12.  Please let Maria know if this is something you, your child, and/or your child’s friends might be interested in!

Sundays:          Beginner Group Class 4-4:50pm

                        Social Dance 5-8pm – the first 10 people to arrive for the dance will get in for ½ price!

Mondays:          Advanced Group Class 7-7:50pm

                        Formation Team Practice 8-8:50pm (see details below)

Wednesdays:    Beginner Rhythm (Latin & Swing) Group Class 7-7:50pm

Thursdays:        Swing I 7-7:50pm (After attending each week in October, you’ll be ready to move up to Swing II, Thursdays 8-8:50pm in November!)

Intermediate Group Class 8-8:50pm

Fridays:            Beginner Group Class 7-7:50pm

Social Dance 8-11pm

Saturdays:        Belly Dancing Group Class 3-4pm

                        Beginner Group Class 7-7:50pm (See below for details of what type of group class will be happening on a particular Saturday)

                        Oct 18: Latin & Swing Social Dance 8-11pm

                        Oct 25: Country Western Social Dance 8-11pm

Nov 1: Singles Dance 8-11pm (non-ballroom dancers welcome too!)

Private lessons scheduled at your convenience, seven days a week.  $50 for 50 minutes for 1-2 people.  $40 for lessons scheduled before 5pm, Monday through Friday.  Buy 10 lessons up front and the 11^th is on us!
