What is a Combo Class?

A combo class is a monthly series class focusing on a grouping of two to three dance styles in the same family. The classes are offered in the different syllabi at levels one and two (example: Beginner, Bronze 1, Bronze 2, Silver 1, Silver 2).

How is Combo Class helpful?

A Combo Class gives students the opportunity to keep their dancing skills current in multiple dances by taking one class versus 3 classes.

What are the dances being offered in each class?

Smooth (American) = Waltz/Foxtrot/Tango

Rhythm A (American) = Rumba/Cha Cha/East Coast Swing

Rhythm B (American) = Samba/Mambo/Bolero

Club A (American) = Hustle/West Coast Swing

Club B (American) = Salsa/Merengue/Nightclub 2-Step

Latin A (International) = Rumba/Cha Cha/Samba

Latin B (International) = Paso Doble/Jive

Standard A (International) = Waltz/Quickstep

Standard B (International) = Foxtrot/Tango

Argentine Tango = Argentine Tango/Close Embrace/Milonga/Tango Vals

Performing Arts classes are now being offered as Combo Classes as well.

Will Paper Moon continue to offer individual classes in the ballroom, Latin and swing dances?

Absolutely, many of the current series classes will continue to run, and we will add new series classes at students’ request. Find 4 students who will commit to the same class on the same day and if there’s a teacher available, we’ll put it on the schedule, no matter what level it is!

With no sign-up sheets, how do I register for a class, and how do I know if it’s going to run?

You can sign up at the front desk as soon as the schedule is out (this will also allow you to register without waiting in a long line on the first day of classes!). As soon as ONE person (i.e. YOU!) has signed up and paid for a class, it gets locked into the schedule. So you never have to wonder if it’s running or how much it’s going to cost!
