On Saturday, February 21, 2004 Paper Moon had the honor of hosting the Sweetheart dance for the New Hampshire Amateur Ballroom Dancers Association. Record numbers of dancers called to make reservations and even after having to turn away more than 60 requests, we ended up with about 119 dancers in attendance!
Read what NHABDA President Cheryl Hannaford had to say about it.
At 6:45, Maria taught about 50 people how to do the Cross body lead, the Promenade swivel and close, and the Rueda basic in Mambo. A couple hours into the event, Paper Moon presented a showcase of students including a Cha-cha formation team dancing to In These Shoes by Bette Midler; Randy Smith and Liz LaPointe dancing a Foxtrot/West Coast Swing to Fever by Eva Cassidy; and Paper Moon's infamous Cell Block Tango formation team. See the pictures below!
Thanks to NHABDA for the opportunity to share our facility with so many wonderful dancers. Thanks to the guests for so many kind comments about our facility, our floor, and our music.
